Calorie-Blasting Pilates
Lower-impact exercises work as well as aerobic workouts.
Yes, Pilates tightens torsos as well as any ab exercise. Now research reveals that Pilates can blast away as many calories as an aerobic workout such as fast walking.

Auburn University scientists tracked the calorie burn of 10 men and women while they did various Pilatesroutines for 40 to 50 minutes. Basic workouts burned 200 calories; intermediate, 292 calories; advanced, 360 calories.
